    Welp this defensive scheme is looking just as bad as last year

    I think the scheme is overblown. Every defensive playbook should have a similar mix of fronts and coverages. It is incumbent upon the coordinator to call them appropriately and create appropriate personnel packages. 3-4/4-3 shouldn’t matter.
