Cyler Miles takes leave of absence

Good, watching Miles throw those bubble screens made me want to quit watching football. You could bake a cake in the time it too for him to set, throw and get the ball to the WR. His numbers made him look a lot better then he was. He was the worst QB in the PAC12 as far as I am concerned.

    Synjyn Days RB

Pretty interesting that the first 7 games of the year he averaged about 2 or 3 carries. The next 7 including the bowl game he averaged about 20 carries and 119 yards per. Did someone get hurt and he took over or did they figure out he was good and started feeding him the rock?

Georgia Tech WRs Smelter and Waller?

Does anybody really know anything about these 2 guys? I saw a tweet today saying how well Waller tracked a ball really well and caught away from his body. He is crazy huge. 6'6" 238 and ran a 4.46. He had poor production but I am not sure that is odd given they throw the ball an average of...

    Chris Conley WR Georgia...

Senior stats: Catches 36 yards 657 AVG 18.3 TDs 8 Obviously the catches and yards by themselves aren't anything to brad about but 18.3 average and 8 TDs on 36 catches shows he is explosive. This was also on a team that threw for less then 200 yards a game and averaged less than 25 throws a...

The Yucks offense sure seemed to look better when he came back.

Hawks coaches at Washington Pro day

I think Kevin Smith could make an NFL squad. He came into UW as a raw athlete who hadn't played much football. He had some bad luck with the broken wrist and missed a season. Honestly, I thought he was the most consistent, underrated and the runner up MVP on offense to Sankey. He also...

    The Dan Quinn effect

I think Bennett needs to get the money Big Red was suppose to get for the next few years. Bennett is ridiculous from both the 5T DE or the 3T inside.

    Chris Harper signed by 49ers!!!

I am not sure why this is a big deal to anybody other than coming from the point of view that the pick was a swing and a miss in the 4th round. Chris Harper was probably our 8th best receiver before the cuts. He basically never showed anything and when he had the opportunity to in the 4th...

    Greg Scruggs Torn ACL???

Damn, I was hoping he would be a clone of Michael Bennett this year and give us 2 + players who can play 5T on running downs and 3T on passing downs.

Any 2014 players that you covet for Seattle?

You mentioned Josh Shirley and as a Husky fan I don't see it. In fact, I hope he gets replaced as every down player and only comes in to games a situational pass rusher. He is smaller then 90% of WLB's in the NFL, he has shown zero ability to play LB(whether it is ability or just not giving...

A few player usage decisions I'm hoping for

I agree with Kearly and others on Bennett/Red. I don't see any way Red it on the team next year. On the other hand Bennett is a perfect fit for our defense. He is the prototypical run 5T/pass 3T in Pete's system. On running downs he is a + run defender at the 5 tech plus he adds good pass...

    CNNSI insanely early 2014 mock

J, my point is I don't think Lyerla is anything more than a workout warrior. I know you aren't saying he is better than ASJ but I don't think it is anywhere close. Just my opinion though.

    CNNSI insanely early 2014 mock

J, that may have some validity but also because of the oregon offense Colt is generally wide open as it is a blown coverage. All UW has is ASJ and teams are keying on him. Even with them keying on him he is still able to far out perform Colt. Watch the way both move and catch the ball. It is...

How about a great training camp memory from Cheney

Another good story although not from when I worked for the camp. The summer of 2002 I stayed in Cheney. If anybody has been there in the summer it is hot and crappy. My friends girlfriend worked at a POS bar on the main street in Cheney. Me and one other friend would hang out all day in the...

    CNNSI insanely early 2014 mock

    ASJ vs Lyerla Height 6-6 vs 6-5 Weight 266 vs 246 2011 Catches 41 vs 7 2011 yards 538 vs 147 2011 TDs 6 vs 5 2012 catches 69 vs 25 2012 yards 850 vs 392 2012 TDs 7 vs 7(1 was a rushing TD) Now obviously stats don't tell the whole story but it is a portion. Really I think Lyerla is just a...

How about a great training camp memory from Cheney

I went to Eastern and worked for the camp director Bill Nayes the summer of 2001. I have a couple good stories. I helped setup camp and when all the players were getting in there was a bicycle shop that brought a bunch of bikes to rent to the players that didnt' have cars. Anthony Simmons...

Chip Kelly already up to no good at his latest stop?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... ing-draft/ He was just using a service like everybody, right? Kind of like he paid for "scouting services" like everybody else;)
