There are certain posters on here who are using seizure-inducing animated gifs in their avatars and it's really an annoyance when you're trying to read a post. There's a reason stuff like this isn't allowed on web sites...because it's annoying to the reader, and even dangerous to some people.

I vote for getting rid of these flashing gifs once and for all. There's no reason for someone to be using something like this other than to annoy other people on this forum.

I was thinking that I was going to be presented with some 'seizure inducing' animated gifs, not just a frame limited representation of a scene from a movie to qualify as the 'certain' animated gifs.

I might suggest just disabling avatars from your user control panel.
