Never tell a recruit (essentially), "You're too dumb to go here but with a scholarship you can get in and take advantage of our great education." Better to just mention the great education part.

D'oh!

I find it disturbing that a recruiter will go to a prospect's house and then insult them. Where did they leave their manners, really. It reflects poorly on them. One why did they make a visit in the first place? Does the recruiter actually think he can win them over by embarrassing them? It's the recruiter's job to win the recruit over, not the other way around.

Not sure why any kid would want to play for him.
According to Nick Baumgardner of Mlive.com, during Neal's in-home visit with Michigan assistant coach Greg Mattison, a less-than-flattering portrayal of the 6-foot-7, 245-pound prospect led to Neal's father throwing the coach out of his house.

I don't like Harbaugh either, but kids and parents will put up with his crap because he will get them into the league.

Same reason why players play for Saban.
