Found this interesting. Only a few 1st-round caliber WRs expected to be available at #31, so for those of you who like to speculate you now how some direction in which to speculate.

I think they were going to hope that DGB or Jaelen Strong was still there and then divert to a plan B if they got taken.

Doesn't mention his source. Though it makes sense.

It will be interesting to see if they draft Phillip Dorsett... he should be there at the Hawks 2nd round pick maybe even the 3rd....

I want Dorial Green-Beckham. Hope he is there in the 2nd.

I think his stock is starting to rise a bit. I don't see him getting past the beginning of the 2nd.

More confirmation:

Now we know one of the names they were looking at, if Robinson's sources are legit.

I don't buy it.

As tight lipped as the Hawks are, now more than one person can "confirm" what player the Hawks were specifically targeting? No

None of these tweets says they had zeroed in on him and were for sure going after him.

All they have said is that 1) The Hawks were targeting WRs and 2) That DGB was one of the ones they were looking at.

Right. So they tweeted an idea that every one of us at .NET has already thought. Woohoo.

Again.. with the amount of picks they have this year.. who is to say they still aren't in the market for a DGB or Strong should they slip?

To move up from 63 to the 45-50 range wouldn't take a whole lot.. in fact they could very well ship out the 4th rounder the Saints kicked over to us.

And I'm saying I don't buy it to the extent they are claiming.

I have no problem with the Hawks not picking a WR in this whole draft...I would much rather see them draft depth for OL and DL...

It would NOT shock me to see us give up a 4th or two to move up and grab a WR, I hope it isn't Beckham. I don't get a good vibe about him.

Me either, I think he has about an 80% chance of being a bust and getting suspended forever or end up in jail.

Cowherd said it best "you get a kid that gets into trouble and can't keep his head straight, then give him a bunch of money and prestige and no control or structure, and you think it's going to improve ?" He was actually talking about Winston, but Winston has been a choir boy compared to the crap that DGB is getting into.

It's why I laugh every time someone talks about him going in the 1st round. Go ahead, waste your pick.

The biggest piece of supposition about the Seahawks in this entire thread is that the Hawks were targetting DGB with their 1st round pick.

The good news is all of our 1st's are usually graded in the 2nd anyway so they should still be available.

I disagree.. I hope it IS DGB. It's worth the dice roll. If he pans out, suddenly our passing attack goes from bottom of the league to one of the most dangerous in football.

There's not another guy in the 2nd round that offers that same boom or bust ability. There are some fine WR's.. but we haven't had a star WR in Seattle in forever.

I would love it if they took a shot on him.

I got a kick out of this. It's pretty much true though.
