Seattle Seahawks

WR Chris Harper, Cal
RB Mike Davis, South Carolina
DT Tory Slater, West Georgia
DL Kristjan Sokoli, Buffalo
DT David Irving, Iowa State*
CB Tray Walker, Texas Southern

Davis is a bit surprising as his stock seems higher at RB than we'd want to go.

Harper is the name that jumps off the list to me, and its not just dejavu. He's not a big guy by any stretch, but is similar in many ways to Paul Richardson. Very underrated prospect.

In true Seahawks fashion I haven't heard of a single one of them!

Yeah, the Hawks usually use these visits to build relationships with priority UDFA's. Very smart.

Interes5ing. As a WR he's a clumsy oaf, but he can be an electric gimmick player. He runs like a RB, very heavy legged, but has great burst and takes on contact well.

But man he's a mess catching the ball.

I love Mike Davis . . . Most punishing RB in this draft class, by far. He could also start at fullback until Lynch retires.

Interest in Tray Walker is not surprising, as he is one of the few corners with excellent length in this class.

Length and physicality at corner. Balance and physicality at tailback. Those are common tropes for this team.

Seems Walker has had more visits than just about any other player. Loads of teams have shown significant interest in him.

I WANT Montgomery! Make it so John and Pete! Since Golden Tate's departure we've really suffered in punt returns and need help in kick returns!

"Montgomery is a very interesting mid-round prospect because he's arguably the best kick returner and punt returner in the nation (statistically, he was in 2014). At 6'0, 210 to 220 pounds, he's been compared to Cordarrelle Patterson in that he's very raw as a receiver and you'd probably have to scheme him into your offense to get much production, but he has the potential to be a game-changing, possibly All Pro/Pro Bowl talent as a returner early in his career, just as we saw with Patterson in Minnesota."

Some good videos in Danny Kelly's article

Seems a lot of guys who can fill the PR/KR billing. Kaelin Clay (Utah), McBride, Hardy are all decent returners at the WR position.

Also have Corey Grant (Auburn) who tore up his pro day. He's an accomplished returner at the RB spot.

Montgomery doesn't have a lot of wriggle to make a guy miss on his own. His good returns tend to be ones where he gets some blocking. He's good at getting upfield and running N-S. But I can't help feeling like a lot of his production is the product of good blocks. How he'd fare in the NFL on a team that didn't block particularly well in the return game is questionable to me.

Certainly if we're talking about spending a 5th round pick on him, it would seem a high price to pay for a player who will be a specialist and little else. If Seattle boosts their WR depth this draft, it may come down to Lockette or Montgomery as the one ST specialist.

I think I'd prefer to burn a late 6th on Clay or Grant for that particular role. Upgrade elsewhere with the 4th/5th round pick we would otherwise commit to Montgomery.

But it has been reported that both Conley and Glowinski have visited have visited the Hawks in fact there was a screen shot of Conley being welcomed to the CLink. My suspicion is the reporting of the Hawks visits is far from complete. The local visits haven't been reported to my knowledge.
