I know quite a few are big fans of Ajayi's, this doesn't bode well for him.

I wonder if Ajayi was who John schieder was talking about when he brought up his least favorite part of the draft.

they are high on a guy and want to draft him but then the medical team says he will only last a year because of his medical history...

These kind of stories get floated out there before the draft for one of two reasons. Either someone wants him to drop so they can increase their odds of signing him or the player's representatives want a ready excuse for why their player has dropped that is not skill related.

I was never that enamored with him because so much of his game will not translate to the NFL level: he loves the spin move and bouncing nearly every run outside, which is unlikely to work due to his lack of speed.

I wouldn't be upset if he took a Chris Polk dive down the board and we snagged him late. I still can't believe Polk wasn't drafted.

I'm going to choose to view it that way too.

Makes sense. His tape and production are comparable to two other RBs from his conference, Doug Martin and Ryan Matthews. Both were 1st round picks. Even in games where he posted pedestrian numbers this was a guy who impacted the feel of the game. Yet Ajayi has always been rated around the middle rounds and there were never any rumors of him rising up draft boards, despite the numerous comparisons to Marshawn Lynch.

Medical stuff is rarely used as misinformation simply because it wouldn't work. Every team has their own medical staff doing their own testing. They wouldn't doubt their medical staff's findings because of an internet rumor. But given the lack of buzz for Ajayi, I think it's very likely true that most medical staffs did not give him glowing reviews.

Could be. It fits. "You want this guy in the 2nd round? Sure, if you only want him for a year."

If Seattle does not draft a RB, it will be interesting to see how they handle Michael vs. Turbin. Turbin is an impending FA, and is probably a long term backup. If they don't draft a RB this year, they might be in a situation where Michael is the defacto #2 RB in 2016, possibly the #1 if Lynch decides to retire randomly. It's a situation where the team would have to start getting Michael real reps in 2015 to get him ready for 2016.
