Would you be surprised if the Hawks traded up in the 2nd for Gregory? Getting to the QB is a major part of our (or any) D and this guy is a pure pass rusher.

Weed being legal here is a non-issue. I people want weed, they can get it anywhere.

The bigger problem with Gregory is there are questions about his drive, his passion for the game. These are the things that would keep him off our board.

Not that these 2 guys made it with us but Harvin and Mike Williams had these same issues.

One of the things John said before last year's draft was that he'd learned to pay more attention to drive. Early on with Seattle they'd made mistakes drafting guys who didn't love the game . . . John Moffett and Christian Michael come to mind immediately. He said that measuring a players drive to be the best has taken on big importance on their draft board.

And FTR Harvin's problem is not his drive. He loves football. His problem is that he loves HIS football too much and gets mad when it is in someone else's hands.

Prior to the PC era I would agree. However the leaders on this D: Bennett, Wagner, Sherman, Thomas etc... Can make someone get motivated.

That good in theory, but doesn't work in practice. Michael is a good example. Simon may be as well.

In theory your theory is correct however these guys are buried on the depth chart behind guys that are just better players.

Unless he's slow-playing the field in order to get drafted by the Seahawks, he's not getting drafted for awhile. Mayock just mentioned that he missed several interviews at the combine. Coupled with the marijuana punishment and his low size (sub 220 at times) he doesn't have the heart or the size to get drafted by our team (and maybe not any others today).

Like McGruff said, NFL teams are questioning his drive and motivation.

He said he could gain weight, and now it looks like he can't gain weight, or won't work hard enough to gain weight.
