Four picks? I hate it. Not the player but they screwed the pooch and lost their minds moving up that was too much capital.

I like it but Jaelen Strong was a possible first rounder. Guessing we just drafted our return man

Thought for sure it was Strong.

Wow, the team sure gave up a lot for this player.

Good returner though, but another midget WR.

Oh well. That seems a lot to give up but less signing bonus to give up. I hope this guy is a dynamite PR/KR or whatever his role is supposed to be. This could be Doug's last season anyway. I thought Doug's contract was a 2 yr deal, maybe it was 3?

Another pick I dislike. Lockett is a very good return man but I don't think he offers anything that we don't already have in the passing game. We need a big receiver that can box out defenders and dominate them on jump balls. Yeah, we have Jimmy Graham, but I think we needed another threat on the outside that can accomplish this.

Lockett looks like a one trick pony to me, when I've seen him it looks like he mostly runs post, and go routes. He just seems to blow past guys in college, but in the NFL will he be able to do this? As a Wide Receiver we have a couple of players that have a similar skillset, color me unimpressed by this pick.

The draft just got much less interesting and now the team has to pick for need. Why not Montgomery?

Like the player, but we gave up a lot to get him, especially given our success in later rounds.

According to the trade value chart we got a good deal by not having to give up a 7th rd pick too

We got
69= 245

Gave up
95=120
112=70
167=24.6
181=19
Total 233.6

I love Lockett, one of my favorite WR's. Just think of him like Seattle's Randell Cobb, worth those extra picks that might not have made the team.

Love this deal. First of all... We weren't keeping 11 picks.. I'm sure JS will trade back at some point and recoup the 5 or 6..

Secondly.. Lockett is very Golden Tate esque. He's small but plays bigger. I'm guessing Jaelen Strong's health scared off many teams including Seattle.

Lockett is going to be a stud for us.

This also screams Darrell Bevell pick trying to get the Harvin effect, one of the commentators said something about making the bubble screens a threat due to his quickness.
