Four-star wide receiver Josh Imatorbhebhe, who's committed to USC, hails from Suwanee, Ga. and displayed his leaping skills on Wednesday with an outstanding first vertical jump of 47.1 inches in the Nike SPARQ National Championship at The Opening in Beaverton, Ore.

His second jump time ... 47.1, again. His third and final jump was slightly lower with 46.8 inches.

Georgia WR Chris Conley had an NFL combine-record-tying 45 inches in the vertical jump this year. Although the measuring technique at Nike's HS combines are different, this HS WR put up a vertical two inches higher than the previous record. He almost appears to be levitating off the ground.

The arm swing might be aiding in that jump. Still, he's just a high school kid. That's crazy.

Fight on!

Volleyball players ate taught to use the arm swing as part of their jump. Some Cuban national team members reportedly could jump 55 inches or more.

Then there was that Cameroon soccer player who scored THE GOAL, heading in the ball, with his feet at the head level of the defenders surrounding him, with their jaws agape.

Undoubtedly very impressive, but he cheated the test a little. Those jump mats, which are are cool but dumb if you ask me, measure verts by time off the ground. Notice how he appears to float for a moment, ala MJ on some of those awesome dunks of his. He contorts his body nearly perfectly to get more time in the air. Jump was probably actually closer to high 30's. Still, very impressive.
