It will become permanent at some point, this is just damage control regardless of Sarks issues, a school with this high of profile has to try to make the spin positive. In this case they are helping him and you watch he will leave the position to focus on personal issues.

Yeah he's not going to return as coach, but that's not the big problem right now. He clearly has a serious problem if he is showing up to a morning practice hammered

This was a long time coming.

Never tried to hide the heavy drinking or cheating on his wife while in Seattle. Not sure how USC made this hire when a brief investigation by a PI you find in the telephone book would have brought up plenty of red flags.

“I was at a basketball event earlier today when I got a call to say Sarkisian was not at practice,” Haden said. “I called Steve and he made it clear to me that he was not healthy, and I asked him to take an indefinite leave of absence. I think this is the right thing for our team.

Sounds like he just didn't show up for practice today, forcing the AD's hand.

As much as I am not a fan, I do feel for the guy as a human being. The crassness of some responses is unfortunate to me as this has implications far beyond the football field.

SC just announced Sark has officially been fired.

Guessing they had to look through the legalities of it all last night before making it official today.
