We like to go after guys that have a chip on their shoulders, either a player that has been proving Mediots wrong, been slighted by someone or told they can't make it, overcoming adversity in their lives or careers, something that makes them hunger to prove people wrong.

Our flops have been with a lot of players that have made it and are coasting so to speak on their reputation in college and don't or have not had to reach up to another level, where the Chip players do it every day. Factor that into the equation and we may see a bit more about who we may be looking at.

sounds like a broken record but depending on how deep the hawks delve into him and how convinced they are by his story I could honestly see the Nkemdiche being a pick either day 1 or 2.

I don't really agree with this. It's true we have a lot of guys who were undervalued at first and now became stars. It's not to be underestimated that guys like Sherman and Baldwin really got a lot of extra motivation from this. They wanted to prove people wrong. However, someone like Wilson who was also undervalued would have worked just as hard if he was taken number 1 overall.

Look at guys like Lockett and Earl as well. Both drafted with high expectations and they still did everything expected from them and then some. I don't think we should be looking for guys with a chip, we should be looking at the best football players.

Its not Good players vs normal players with a chip.

Its finding the good players that have The CHIP, have the Grit to survive to persevere and be the best.

Lockett was doubted because of his stature. Clarks incident was widely misunderstood. Rawls was undrafted from a smaller school.

All great players, all under valued and all Chippy seahawks.

Not everyones chip is like Baldwins.

You even mention Russell, He has a chip because he had a school turn their back on him so he transferred to Wisconsin, Before that in HS he had people tell him to stay at safety because of his height.

The height slams were nothing new for wilson @ the nfl level.

Additionally, Kam was too slow and could not cover well enough to be a NFL Safety and would be a Linebacker.
