Lots of people chuckling at this hire but I actually love it. I think he will be a good fit for the gig. He sure can't do worse than Haden.

He'll definitely be good at the people part of the job. The budget, business, etc parts of the job we'll see.

He's served as a director on the boards of Heinz, Hershey Entertainment and Resorts and Wyndham International and was chairman of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America for a couple of years, so he does have some business/admin experience--at least on paper. He also ran for governor of PA at one point.

I wish he had at least some sort of athletic department experience, but who knows. We'll have to wait and see how this works out.
