So, #2, 3, 4 abd 9 lose. Polls will be interesting.

Louisville is going to need Clemson to lose again, because they can't play for ACC title, otherwise.

Ohio State is in a lot of trouble now. They need to win out and then Penn State needs to somehow lose to either 2-8 Rutgers or 3-7 Michigan State, or the Buckeyes won't make the Big 10 Championship game. That would severely hurt their playoff chances.

They need to, and eventually will move to an 8-team playoff. The system is very early and new. The more teams the better. There is a reason why the NBA lets half the teams make the playoffs. There is a reason why MLB added a second wildcard.

I don't understand the big to-do about this now. Wasn't this the case before yesterday too? If Ohio State beat Michigan, there would be a three-way tie for first. Would Ohio State have won that tie-breaker?

OSU would have won the tiebreaker if all three are at 1-loss, but they lose a tiebreaker if it's just them and Penn State with one conference loss. Being #2 looks good now, but there will be a lot of talk about moving them down if they don't make their conference championship game.

It's harder in college football, though. You can't really play more than one game a week, and there's a limited number of weekends in Dec, because I don't think they want to go much later in Jan and compete with college basketball.

Just sayin'.

I love keeping the playoffs at 4 teams. Are they going to get it right every time? Probably not. But if you feel like you got screwed, you should have won more games. The more teams you let in the less meaningful the regular season and the conference championships become.

Would a two loss Wisconsin team pass a one loss Michigan team?
