I know, it's D2, but should be a hell of a game. The University of North Alabama (UNA) versus Northwest Missouri State University (NWSU).
I produce the coaches show for UNA, but since the game is being carried on ESPN2 today, ESPN wouldn't allow me to film any of the game, though did give me permission to record it and use as much highlights as I want.
Kind of sucks, since I've been traveling with the team (home and away games) for the past six seasons, they finally make the championships, and I get to sit at home.
UNA has had a few players in the NFL (Janoris Jenkins the latest), and even the Seahawks had a few on their practice squad.
Also, UNA announced last week that they are (finally) moving up to D1 FCS, A-SUN for all sports except football, will play in the Big South for that.
Anyway, kickoff is today at 3pmET on ESPN2. Game is being played in Kansas City, and the weather is terrible. Several buses for students/fans were cancelled due to the icy interstates.
