  • Lowe is about 5'6 160, he won't be getting a UO offer. I won't be surprised to see he end up at a Boise or a school like that.

  • Just came across another kid from Washington that looks pretty good, but hasnt been ranked by 247 yet. Tre'Shaun Harrison from Garfield High in Seattle. Michigan, UCLA Washington State and a few others have already offered.

  • Potentially huge news for Oregon recruiting. Nate Costa (ex Duck quarterback and graduate assistant coach) just got the offensive coordinator/QB coach job at IMG Acadamy in Florida. For those that dont know, IMG is basically a football factory that turns out the most college players year in and year out. They recruit from all over the east coast and get the best players in there. Nate absolutely loves the Ducks and will be a nice Oregon voice to those kids to help build that Florida to Oregon pipeline which Taggart and staff have already started.

If every year we can pull 5 kids out of Florida, 5 Polnesian kids, 5 So Cal kids, and then just cherry pick the rest of our commits from around the country we'll be golden. With the one assistant coach position we still have available, due to Reaves firing, i'd love to see us get someone with deep texas recruiting roots.

  • 3 guys to keep an eye on for UW.

    1. Austin Osborne, 4 star wr. this kid is a lock to UW and will be committing soon.

    2. Justin Dedich 4 star C. has visited multiple times. UW needs to get him.

    3. Steven Jones. 4 star OL. another guy who has visited and UW needs to get on board.

    Culp will probably commit soon.

around 20 depending on early departures I think.

Not sure there are many outside of Vea, maybe gaskin. Browning certainly not.

I think Gaines is a possibility too. I saw some mocks even this year that had him in the 2nd round. I would guess that Vea and Gaines are the two early departures. Maybe Gaskin. Maybe Trey Adams.

  • Trey Lowe commited to UW. Even though he's rated as a 4 star i'm kind of shocked UW took him. Dude is tiny. I kind of figured he might end up at Oregon State, Boise State, Portland State or something like that.

Really solid pick up. I'm not a 247 member anymore so I wont be on top of the Husky recruiting like i was last year. Please continue to post when you land them.

Idk if that's true. A few of the coaches around the Portland and Vancouver area, have all told me he's 5'6-5'7 and 160lbs. But he had impressive stats last year, before getting injured, so he's a player.

  • I was surprised on lowe as well.

They're supposedly taking him as a WR but if he was actually recruited to play safety it wouldn't surprise me.

Spiker and Osborne is a boss WR class

  • so...

UW got a commitment from 4 star top 100 Idaho QB colson yankoff today.

Kid is a stud, but you wonder what that means for sirmon if anything. If he is bailing it would be surprising but both he and yankoff are great options.

    signing both would be fantastic

Yea, it's pretty weird. I'd be shocked if they're both Huskies on signing day. Yankoff is a stud though (he was commited to the ducks before helfrich was fired). Even though Sirmon is rated quite a bit higher I actually like Yankoffs tape quite a bit more.

I hope they do both sign at uw. I'd rather have one of them sitting on the bench there then have one starting at uw and one starting at cal or ucla. Plus it takes away a scholarship from somebody who could contribute for uw.

Yankoff is a hell of an athlete AND a qb. He's what jake locker dreamed of being.

  • Back in 2012 the dawgs got 2 4star top 250 QBs in Lindquist and Miles. So it's not completely unusual.

I will say this, what I've heard, it's two fold, the dawgs were always going to take 2 QBs in this class, it's numbers thing. Be it Sirmon and Yankoff or Yankoff and someone else...and also they want to bolster the depth. When Browning got injured last the drop off was so extreme that had Jake not been able to go, well you can fill in the blanks

Things should start picking up for the Ducks here now that Spring practice has started. They have something like 30 unofficial visitors coming in throughout spring ball. I expect 4 or 5 commitments here in the next month. I think a lot of recruits are taking the "wait and see" approach as far as the new coaching staff and if they'll win some games this season (which I fully expect them to).

  • Ducks get their first 2018 commit from Travis dye, 3 star rb from California . Younger brother of Troy dye. He's a low 3 star but so was his brother and he ended up being one of the best freshman in the PAC 12 from day 1. We'll probably take 2 more running backs in this class.

He's one of the few Oregon kids I wanted. Will be interesting to see how he does. He'll never be a big sack guy but should be pretty good eventually as a guy that holds the edge and absorbs blockers. The only thing I'd worry about is the competition he's played against. Oregon high school football sucks in general, and he's not even playing in the highest division.
