Huskies At Oregon State

The Washington football team (4-0 overall, 1-0 Pac-12) heads out on the road for a second straight week as the Dawgs travel south to face Northwest rival Oregon State (1-3, 0-1) in Corvallis. Kickoff is at 5:00 p.m. and the game will air on Pac-12 Network

No slow start for the defense today.

Vizciano misses another kick. That's gonna cost the Huskies a game when they play someone good.

Washington's offensive line looks bad. Not quite as bad as the Seahawks, but almost.

Yeah, they've really stepped it up in the 2nd half.

Does anyone else get irritated with going to the 2nd/3rd string in some of these games and situations? I mean in the right situation I'm all for it, but they had an opportunity to pitch a shutout. If my defense has the opportunity to do something like that I'm leaving them in there personally. It feels like taking a pitcher out of the game in the 8th inning with 75 pitches and no runs given up...

They also did something similar against Fresno when they killed them in the 1st half and put in backups after the 2nd drive of the 2nd half with most of the 3rd quarter left. They had a chance to beat that team worse than Alabama did but instead went to their backups so early they made the game look closer than it was and fell in the standings the following day (I believe because they didn't beat Fresno State as bad as Alabama did). A lot of the country doesn't actually watch west coast football and they simply judge our teams on final scores and who they beat. If I have one complaint about coach Peterson it's that he needs to not be the nice guy all the time and sometimes allow his guys to really destroy some of these teams to not give the east coast biased so much room to argue against his team.

I disagree. It builds valuable game experience for the backups. That comes in handy down the road and also in the event of injury. Pete did it at BSU all the time.
