  • Should be another blow out win for UW. They've got to be getting pretty bored about now.

I won't deny the Huskies have some ugly unis tonight, but seriously, JSea? The Ducks were human highlighters tonight. I think they were hoping to blind the Cougars with those optical atrocities.

  • Huskies are solid, may be as good as the 2016 version. Not as explosive offensively, but the defense is strong and they haven't been thinned out by injuries so far. Those defensive injuries killed them at the end of last season... that and Browning's shoulder. He's still got a weak ass arm, but it's not a complete noodle like it was at the end of last year.

Still don't see them in the same class as the Alabama's of the world, but I expect them to be even better next year... all the teams in the NW are building momentum.

    Except for the Beavs.

    The poor damn Beavs... :(

Huskies are wearing their pajamas. Which i guess makes sense since they've been able to sleep walk through their schedule this far.

  • This isn't one of those explosive blowouts...

It's sort of a suffocating mutilation.

    Cal 3 and out...

Washington 20 play drive for 4 yards a play...

    rinse, repeat

If I'm a Cal fan or player, I'm hating this more than throwing a couple pick 6's and the game getting out of hand fast.

Getting just slowly pounded on every play takes more from you, I think. Their poor D has to be gassed by now.

  • Man, those ESPN announcers are sure some smarmy mofos. Looks like ESPN's official position is to be pissed off about how Peterson doesn't show the proper amount of boot-licking for their allowing us to be on their exalted network in the middle of the night back east.

Chris Peterson is right. But its not ESPN's fault. ESPN is doing the smart thing for them, they make more money having games on all day and all night. Theyre a business doing what is best for them. I blame Pac 12 commisioner Larry Scott for allowing it to happen. Pac12 should make a deal with NBC or another network to get our games on at better times. Screw ESPN. NBC has Notre Dame, and thats it. I bet they'd like to get in on other college football.

National ratings for the Pac 12 night games are higher than the ratings for the day games, mainly because there isn't nearly the competition for viewers.

  • I'm glad UW won, but I was hoping the Cal QB (Ross Bowers) would have done better. Watched him lead Bothell to a State Championship and thought he had all sorts of potential. Looked thin, indecisive and a bit skittish against the Huskies. Doesn't have the best line, though, and he's young, so he might get better as he matures. Was absolute money in HS.

In the NFL sacks count against passing yards. The story I was told that NCAA teams ran the option for so long that they would just mark any tackle behind the line as a rushing attempt no matter what the QB was trying to do.
