I like the way this guy runs.....could be a potential pick for the Seahawks in the 2018 draft. He's listed at 5'10 220pds, 4.52 40 time. Also a good kick returner.

RB-Rashaad Penny;
Career kickoff returns: 78 for 2354-yds, 30.18/avg. & 7-TD’s. - (nearly 1 of every 10 kickoff returns for a TD, yes please), IMO, this adds almost a full round to his draft position, he will likely be a RD 3 to Rd-4 pick - which would be a logical area for the Seahawks to pick a RB, assuming they go with a badly needed EDGE rusher with an earlier pick, after their usual trade down(s).

I like the looks of the guy and hope he's our pick.

SDSU is upset he was left off of the Doak Walker list. But, SDSU did have a 2000 yard rusher last year, Donnell Pumphrey who is with the Eagles this year. So maybe the judges were suspicous of the scheme?

What's even more impressive, though, is Penny's 2,000-yard season marked the second consecutive season the Aztecs have had a 2,000-yard rusher. In 2016 Donnel Pumphrey rushed for 2,133 yards. This is the first time in FBS history that a team has had back-to-back 2,000-yard rushing seasons by different players.

He’s as good as anybody they invited, I’ll promise you that,” said SDSU head coach Rocky Long, speaking to the Doak Walker finalists. “Probably better than the guys they invited. It upsets me for Rashaad and it upsets me for his teammates. It doesn’t personally upset me because I’m old and realistic about the way the world works.”

SDSU offensive coordinator Jeff Horton was even more pointed with his remarks.

“I think it’s a joke. I think it’s a disgrace,” Horton said. “How you can have the leading rusher in the nation and leading all-purpose yardage guy, and what’s he second in touchdowns in the nation? To not have him as one of the finalists, to me it discredits the award. … The kid’s done more than anybody else on the field at that position.”

His predecessor, Pumphrey was drafted in the 4th by Philly

The next Sproles? Eagles add Donnel Pumphrey

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles might have found an eventual replacement for diminutive RB Darren Sproles with another back in the same style: Donnel Pumphrey.

The Eagles took the former San Diego State star with the No. 132 overall pick of the fourth round Saturday in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Many local and National "experts" aren't aware of Rashaad Penny's complete stats, beyond the 2017 #1 in FBS with 2248-yds rushing yards (& 7.78-ypc.) that isn't talked about AT ALL, However, Penny also has a few other pretty nice accomplishments, to name just a few............

--2017, Penny has TD's 4 different ways this season, 23 rushing, 2 receiving, 2 KO-returns & 1 punt return.

--Penny holds the NCAA career record with 7-KO returns for TD's & has 81 career KO returns for 2449-yds, a 30.23-avg (IF, the Seahawks were to draft both Penny & Pettis, the kicking game would be really amazing.)

--2017, #1 in FBS in "all purpose yards" with 228.77-ypg. & 2974 yds. total. Other potential Seahawk among the RB's in the TOP-50 rankings of "all purpose yards" for comparison purposes: ( #1 Penny= 228.77-ypg & 2974-yds total.)

-Saquon Barkley #2 with 179.15-ypg, & 2329 yds., (a difference of 640-yds & 49.62-ypg.)
-Bryce Love= #3 with 165.46-ypg, & 2151-all purpose yards., (a difference of 823-yds & 63.31-ypg.)
-Royce Freeman= #16 with 136.58-ypg, & 1639-all purpose yards., (a difference of 1335-yds & 92.19-ypg.)
-Ahmad Bradshaw, #20 with 134.31-ypg, & 1736-all purpose yards., (a difference of 1238-yds & 94.46-ypg.)
-Ronald Jones II= #21 with 133.62-ypg, & 1737--all purpose yards., (a difference of 1237-yds & 95.16-ypg.)
-Kerryon Johnson= #25 with 132.08-ypg, & 1585-all purpose yards., (a difference of 1389-yds & 96.69-ypg.)
-Miles Gaskin= #37 with 124.38-ypg, & 1617-all purpose yards., (a difference of 1357-yds & 104.39-ypg.)
