Ouch! LOL. The Savior is taking off for greener pastures.

Too bad the Chipster already took the UCLA gig.

Well looks like UO is back to being the joke program they were always meant to be.

JS- You got to feel for him,I mean he puts his heart into that team.
Can't stand how coaches will jump just for another dollar.
Hope Taggert fails hard at FS.

Eh, I've kept my mouth shut because I don't really know enough to have a good opinion on the guy, but there's been little things that have led me to believe that Taggart is a lot like Sarkisian...hell even taking this job makes him more like Sark.

He can recruit, but how is his player development? Can he beat top-ranked coaches? Talent alone rarely does anything worthwhile in CFB without a good plan and execution for player development and game preparation. Taggart was unproven. And while I only watched their game vs the Huskies closely, I will say that I saw a team with bad body language out there (in fairness, Burmeister was QB).

The worst part is not the potential destruction of this year's recruiting class, but rather the lack of available head coaches. There aren't exactly a bunch of proven head coaches looking to move up to an FBS or Power-5 school.

I do feel bad for J, though....almost didn't make this thread because of him. But oh well, he talks shit too.

Oh, and by all means talk shit. It’s what makes this forum fun, we can do that and still stay friendly.

I’m going to look at the positives. Jake browning isn’t our qb.

He's a junior. YOu get to keep him for one more year.

Yeah, Browning has no pro prospects. No way he doesn't stay.

I mean I know this thread is about how bad Oregon sucks, but Browning is something like 20-4 as a starter. Kid deserves a bit more credit.

He is another in the line of college QBs that somehow managed a good record and stats despite being objectively terrible.

You have a point, I’ll concede that. But who is the quackers QB again. 8)

Bigger question who is Uncle Phil going to pay to come and be abused in Oregon with the recruiting class looking like a Cuban refugee raft leaving.

Yeah Browning is a technician which makes him an okay qb, but he is not a playmaker type QB that is needed to beat teams with good defenses, and he has likely maxes out his potential.
