  • A player to keep a close eye on in the Camellia Bowl Saturday is OLB-JaVon Rolland-Jones. The primary reason to watch him closely is that the Seahawks need help at LB and Rolland-Jones is currently projected as a Rd-4/5 prospect, which would be right in the wheelhouse for the Seahawks for a mid round pick. Will his pass rushing skills translate to the NFL? What makes him so successful as a pass rusher? How will he do in the drills & tests at the combine?
..... Roland-Jones could very much be a "diamond in the ruff".

Middle Tennessee St vs: Arkansas St. This game will be on at 5:00-PM (PST) Sat. 1216/17 on ESPN in the Seattle area.

2017 Sun Belt player of the year. 12/06/17 - " He needs just 0.5 sacks to become the NCAA's all-time leader in career sacks with 44, breaking Terrell Suggs' record. He already owns Sun Belt and Arkansas State all-time sack records." From: draftscout.com (Not sure why they are saying he has 43.5 sacks, cfbstats.com #'s above show 42.)

Other Bowl games of interest on Saturday 12/16/17 include:

Boise St. vs: Oregon on at 12:30-PM (PST) on KOMO-4.
--Watch for: WR-Cedrick Wilson, RB-Royce Freeman, OT-Tyler Crosby, CB-Arron Springs, FS-Tyree Robinson. et. al.

So. Dakota State vs: James Madison on at 1:30-PM on ESPNU
--Watch for: TE-Dallas Goedert, WR-Jake Wieneke, OLB-Andrew Ankrah. et. al.

It is very possible, perhaps even likely that at least one of the players in these games will be of significant interest to the Seahawks in the draft.
