Let's say Seattle trades down to the range they generally do - pick 28-36. Who ya got in that range?

If we must go offensive line, I'm taking Tyrell Crosby in a heartbeat. He is a monster. My top OL in draft behind Nelson. 34+ inch arms, power, decent technique... I want that guy. Isaiah Wynn could be a cornerstone guard to build around, as well. Comes from a great Georgia program.

For running back, Michel or Chubb. We could build around either guy.

Michel could add another dimension to our offense with his excellent pass-catching ability to go along with his rushing proficiency. He'd go great alongside our more traditional back in Carson. If you want a bell cow, Chubb is it. He's explosive, SPARQy, and passes the eyeball test.

A cornerback to keep an eye on is Isaiah Oliver out of Colorado. 6'1, 195. Has length and physicality - will probably be picked top-30.

You mention two guards I really like, and I also really like Crosby. But, I love Will Hernandez, LG out of UTEP. Plays with such a mean streak. A road grader in the run game and really nice feet in pass pro. Would love to see him next to Duane.

I hope we dont go oline. We've done that we need to coach up what we got.

I love Michel, I'd be ok with Chubb

But knowing this team it's probably Dline. Not sure who the best that would be there at that time. Couple of ohio state guys might be there around then.

I posted this in another thread but it prob fits better here. Here's an idea of where we could trade down to.

So I was interested, I googled the trade chart.

Pick 18 has a value of 900

My guess of 22 and 22 in the third round has a value of 940 (780 and 160) I imagine thats doable

Then second trade of 22 which has a value of 780
for 32 and 32 in the 2nd has a value of 860 (519 and 270). That might be a bit off we might have to throw in our 5th (33) or our 6th (20)

But the big thing here is the Quarterback factor. Theres talk that there are about 4 or 5 first round QBs which will drive the trade market, it will also let talented non qbs fall which could drive the trade market. I imagine were going to see a TON of trade activity.

Crosby, Price, Hernandez, and Wynn on the oline.

I'd be willing to roll the dice on Arden Key if he falls. Sure, McDowell can justifiably make you risk adverse early; but Clark and Irvin are examples of why you take those shots as well.

Tim Settle, Maurice Hurst and Taven Bryan depending on what happens with Sheldon.

I think I like Ronnie Harrison more than most do, especially in the Hawks system.

I do not like Crosby. Here is one of his games, against Boise State, and the results are decidedly mixed

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9yjDowQkaE

To me he looks like Ifedi 2.0. He's big, strong and athletic, and just effing whiffs a lot on his blocks.

On the plus side, when he is able to lock onto a guy, he seems to be able to drive with great power, unlike Ifedi.

I like Wynn, a lot, and we should be able to get him with a much later pick. I would probably trade down to a low 2nd round pick and accumulate 3rd round picks, which I think might be a sweet spot in terms of talent.

My targets after trading down include SS Ronnie Harrison or one of the many good WR prospects like James Washington or Eq St. Brown.

Guys to target for the draft as a whole include RB Rashaad Penny (can return kicks as well), WR Dante Pettis (also returns kicks), CB JC Jackson, TE Hayden Hurst, TE Mike Gesiecki and DE/OLB Marquis Haynes (pass rush specialist).

I watched Hernandez's film from the game against Oklahoma. It's meh. He does some things well, other times he looks like a holding machine. Extends his arms and grabs jersey whenever possible. If he gets drafted by the Packers, he'll probably do well. I'd pass.

We must have been watching a completely different game. Guess that’s what makes the process as fun as it is.

Now that Cable is gone we can possibly see if he had an eye for talent but was unable to coach them up or he had no eye for talent and couldn't coach them up. Either way, an o lineman needs to be picked somewhere in case Cables talent evaluation actually is terrible.

I'm liking this guy more and more...

Entering 2017, the big man was listed by Pro Football Focus as the nation’s top returning run blocker. Unfortunately, he was sidelined for the year against Nebraska, and the Ducks suffered.

His team went 4-8 without their best offensive lineman and missed playing in a bowl game for the first time in eleven years.

He didn’t get discouraged in his missed year though. Instead, he and two other teammates met with three children diagnosed with brain cancer at the Oregon football complex

Before Crosby flew to Alabama, he stopped Thursday in Seattle to accept the Morris Trophy, given to the top Pac-12 lineman on both sides of the ball. Crosby called the award "humbling" because of how he was selected; the conference's defensive linemen vote for the top offensive lineman.

Howard Mudd really likes Ifedi and Ethan Pocic. I think Germaine could excelt at RG, but Mudd likes him at Tackle.

Ray Roberts said that Duane Brown's technique suffered under Cable, and that Ifedi was "opening up his chest to defenders hands." Which I'm guessing is a bad thing.

I'm on board with Defense the whole way, as that wins Championships. Just look at the teams in the playoffs and Super bowl last year and this.

Mike Solari will help our Olinemen showcase their talent to where any one of our current running backs can do well, ala Alex Collins.

Price from Ohio St should be available if Seattle trades down to the 24-28 range.

I can see Washington wanting a new QB and even Minnesota taking a risk to trade up to grab a QB.

If there is a QB needy team that is drafting after the Hawks (Minnesota) they may be trade partners.

I like Will Henandez from UTEP. I think his a Mike Solari type of guy. And actual Guard who wants to be a guard, who wants to go to the Pro-Bowl as a guard.

I'm hoping for DE Arden Key to fall into the 2nd like McDowell...maybe end up getting a couple 2nds and a 3rd in the process moving down from #18.

If we trade down from #18, I like Marcus Davenport - Edge, Taven Bryan, DT, and Hayden Hurst, TE.
