  • Madison, unlike recently acquired D.J. Fluker, excels more in pass protection than he does in the running game. This is mostly thanks to Mike Leach’s high-octane passing offense at Washington State, giving Madison much more experience in pass protection.

The 6-foot-five, 330-pound Madison improved his draft stock after a strong performance in the Senior Bowl and at the NFL Combine, where he hoisted 26 reps on the bench press.

The Seahawks have drafted the most offensive linemen in the NFL since 2011, but have not had a ton of success up front. Adding a strong pass protector in Madison would give more time for Russell Wilson in the pocket, and would add even more depth to a line that has added Fluker and will get a full season out of Pro Bowler Duane Brown next season.

Thats what's scary and we still sucked with the past Coaches, hopefully going forward things get better quickly, spending that many resources on positions that many times are long term for teams as in 5 to 8 years depletes our talent other places.

  • Madison came to WSU as a big framed tight end who was molded into a lineman. I think he started 3 straight years. Kids very athletic for his size. Also has a nasty streak. One of my favorite cougs the last couple years. His dads hilarious too. Ive sat next to him a few times at games.
