I’ll post a few without violating board rules. Overall though they have been poor and in my opinion deservedly so.

Obviously the jury will be out for a couple years. Admittedly I’m skeptical of this front office because they’ve done poorly for the last five drafts and this is no different. I think Green will be a steal in a couple years, but the rest of this class is underwhelming, to be kind.

Dissly might end up being a Mack Strong type of fan favorite, but when they took him I thought there were so many people still available who could help us.

I still think Penny was a reach. If there was consistent tape of him lowering his pads and breaking tackles I’d be pumped, but he runs straight up and NFL talent won’t let that go unpunished.

Dickson may end up being the most valuable pick.

Jones might end up being a solid starter in the same vein that Sean Locklear was an average starter for a few years under Holmgren.

Griffin...I love the kid, I love his production, I love his tape, I love his workouts, I love his heart. Still have to prove that NFL offenses can’t exploit a missing hand. I suspect he’s going to surprise skeptics, but it is still a question.

Overall I think the value and execution is in the C- to D+ range.

RE: running upright... Someone should have told Adrian Peterson that he couldn't do well that way

Heck, even Lynch made me cringe with his upright style 99% of the time.

I was shocked like the rest of us with Penny at 27 but then 4 more RBs went pretty quickly. While the jury is out whether they selected the right runner, you have to give them credit for the timing of that pick. I was excited that they were able to get Green in the 3rd because he was a guy many discussed for us in the 2nd or even late first. I was ready to give them an A on Friday night what they able to accomplish with just the 18 pick and still having 8 picks left for day 3.

Well day 3 was disappointing for me because while I like Shaquem I expected them to get another impact player. I thought they would have been better served by going DL again at 120 and waiting for the run blocking TE. Maybe they lose Dissly if they wait until the 5th or 6th but he and Flowers are the biggest head scratchers for me. I don’t think there’s enough pass rushing talent or depth at CB and I believe they could have done better filling those needs.

Solid B, considering what they had to work with.

This draft was about identity. Bring in reliable, high-character guys who are going to buy in and buy in hard.

Penny was their guy at RB. He may have been taken by New England at 31. From what we know, he was a reach, but we don't know for sure.

Green is raw, but he was a great value pick and fits on the defensive line. I personally do not think he will end up doing well, but he theoretically fills a need and has high upside.. We will see.

Dissly was their guy at TE. I don't think he was a big reach whatsoever. He blocks and catches. Throw him in.

Shaquem belongs in Seattle.

Jamarco Jones... meh. I didn't like his tape and his testing is absolutely cancerous, but its the fifth round. His results are not fifth round results - he started LT for the Buckeyes. He might carve a spot.

Flowers is a project at corner with 34 inch arms. Cool!

Dickson will end up saving us money when we cut Ryan, and he's a hell of a prospect at punter. Unless Ryan beats him out... which would be horrific. It would drop this draft a full letter grade.

I like it.

On most drafts we were worst rated. The amount of justification here is funny to see. Our draft sucked.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the writers diss us on our best draft in recent history?

Wow, Rang is the only one who actually seems to understand the 'Hawks approach. Refreshing compared to the parroting most others are doing.

Penny will be lightning in a bottle on this team. Dissley and Dickson and ditchin (Graham) will be key in our return to ground game dominance.

In addition to pro bowlers Brown and Britt, we have enough O-Line athlete on this team in development and we should have an NFL-average OL overall next year, especially with Cable out and Solari in. Bringing in a bunch of O-Line rookies in the draft would have been pointless. We brought in Pocic last year and Ifedi the year before as high-round draft picks, among others.

Rob's a Local guy he understands whats going on and keeps track of things, he isn't getting scraps of news like some others and trying to make a story, he is usually pretty tuned into us.

There are a lot of pre-season, post draft "rankings" that are all done by anyone with a keyboard. Most, if not all of which are STUPID. Your team didn't draft the way Kiper, et. al. said they should so you get an F. What a bunch of crap from almost all of the media-idiots that don't know their anus from a hole in the ground. This is the worst part of this time of year, the actual playing of football, can't get here fast enough.
