  • The biggest thing that worries me in this game is Oregon's offensive line. The Huskies are going to have to get in their backfield and they weren't even able to do that with an extra rusher last week. Oregon's O-line has emerged as the best O-line in the conference so far but it's difficult to know if they are really that good not having played great defenses. In spite of that, they have received national attention for their play.

Both teams will try to establish the run, the team that does that will have a distinct advantage. Gaskin is banged up and that could hurt. Salvon Ahmed is dynamic, but he doesn't run for the tough yds nearly as well as Gaskin. The Huskies offensive line hasn't been as good as the ducks but UDub has better blocking TE's. I'm thinking both teams are going to open up the playbook so look for some entertaining plays.

The Huskies vaunted defensive backfield will be looking to shut down Dillon Mitchell, he is far and away their most prolific receiver. Likewise, the ducks will be looking to limit Aaron Fuller, the Huskies most productive receiver.

The story of the QB's is as good as it gets, Jake Browning isn't 6-6 or have a cannon for an arm like Herbert but he's accomplished much more in his college career. Justin Herbert is a genuine early-round NFL talent but NOBODY playing today has more pressure or expectations on him than him. All the talent and physical attributes in the world don't mean squat if you can't come through in clutch moments. Same could be said of Browning, albeit to a lesser extent.

People wonder why some recruits choose to walk-on without a scholarship rather than accept one to a lesser school/division. This game is why, you want to be on a team that plays games that matter. Smaller schools have great games too, but outside of their limited audience, no one cares.

    This game matters.

    A LOT.
