Maybe you should have tried beating Cal or Oregon when conditions didn't favor you.

I'd rather have the PAC 12 Champ trophy, than a higher ranking. Oh, and the Apple Cup trophy.

That's really cool. Where is WSU going to hang their "Ranked #10" trophy?

Yawn. 6 in a row, 9 of the last 10, Pac 12 Champs, AGAIN. Owned the Poogs, as usual.
Leech has never come close to beating Coach Pete in the Apple Cup. But yeah, your ranking is awesome :34853_doh:

It's so cute that Poog fans are still blaming the Snow, as if the outcome would have been any different than it always is. Leech' teams can't handle a hard hitting team, never have, never will. The Dawgs D and running game is far superior and the Poogs got smoked, yet again.

All Cougar trash talk has been canceled until they can keep an Apple Cup score within 10 points.

And Since some people like to count days.

Lose six Apple Cups in a row and brag, classic Coug-it post.

A top 10 ranking is to be commended and while the Alamo Bowl is not exactly where I hoped WSU would end up, it was a great win over a hungry IA St.

I do wonder though if what we saw with the Cougs this year is the absolute most that any Leach coached team is capable of accomplishing. It was a similar season to his 1 great year at Tech where they lost the Cotton Bowl. There’s just always going to be something missing with a Leach team, whether it be flaws with his offensive scheme, lack of top quality recruits on defense or game planning deficiencies. But to go 11-2 with having to sell Pullman to recruits and having so little money or quality facilities compared with other PAC 12 programs, it is very remarkable and a most memorable year.

And kudos to UW on another fine season and for playing OSU tight.

Congratulations on going 11-2 and yet somehow still not winning the Apple Cup, the PAC-12, or even the PAC-12 North.

2013 Seattle Washington 27–17
2014 Pullman Washington 31–13
2015 Seattle Washington 45–10
2016 Pullman #6 Washington 45–17
2017 Seattle #15 Washington 41–14
2018 Pullman #16 Washington 28–15

But yeah, this time it was totes because "conditions didn't favor you".

Just a little look forward to next year, ESPN's Way Too Early Top 25 for 2019 has the Cougs ahead of the Huskies too.

The Cougs will lose their 7th consecutive Apple Cup next year.

As for their WAY TOO EARLY ranking, it's laughable, they don't even have a proven quarterback on the roster and trying to compete with 240 lb. DL's against 320lb. OL's when you can't put up big points is not a formula for success.

UW doesn't have a proven quarterback either and the same could have been said for WSU last year. As long as Mike Leech is the coach I think the QB will be fine.

UW has a 5-star quarterback that played one full season in the SEC. He also has had a full season running UW's playbook on the scout team. In addition, Brock Huard and many others have said he is the best passer they have ever seen coming out of high school. I am not given to predictions but I will predict that barring injury, he will be a 1st round NFL pick.

WSU's entire strategy, is, and has been, to score more points than its opponents. They were lucky they found the porn star but that won't happen every year, and if you keep doing that, don't be surprised if you aren't able to recruit quarterbacks into your program.

The same guy that lost his job in the SEC and had to come back home to the team he left hanging? That 5 star guy?

Yes, he lost his job after he got injured and they chose a home-grown Georgia boy to replace him.

Keep talking, the Cougs have nothing in the QB position compared to UW.
