When Oregon, USC, Washington, etc. are knocking on recruits doors he has the leg up. All he has to do is tell the recruits parents..."wouldn't you want your kid to have a Stanford education and be part of a winner?"
Good for his recruits to hear and good for the pac-12. I like Shaw. He is an offensive guy but also preaches defense and tough hard nosed football. No finesse at Stanford.
