This guy intrigues me. He's passionate about football (even to the point of weeping about his college playing days being over.) So far, I don't see him ranked above the 4th round (and more see him down in the 6th/7th range and even as an UDFA). Senior season-ending shoulder injury, so that would have to be checked out. But, might be well-worth taking a guy like this oozing with leadership. Listen to what is said about him and who those sorts of comments remind you of. Playing wise, I have read comparisons to Brian Urlacher. There's a lot of talk and perhaps players agents and friends are posting some of that. But, I didn't see him listed in this draft forum yet (pardon me and just link them, if so.)

I love players like this with grit and who tend to elevate the play of those around him. Can always use a guy like that on your team. (Along the lines John Simon mentioned in this forum.) Those type players. But, the question is... do they have enough to compete at the next level. If not, they sure look like they have a future in coaching. If the Hawks were to add talented player-coaches on the field... I think it works to elevate the overall play of either side of the ball. I don't think it's a problem to have too many generals - particularly on Defense. It's a better situation when you know you can trust the other guys.

I like him. He looks better than Manti Teo at least.

This guy and his bro AJ Klein are linebackers at heart. Bith will probably run a bit slow, but they are the kind of guys you draft for 2nd line depth and to play special teams. Klein looks to me like he could replace an injured Wagner if such a thing should happen, and he would not miss a beat. 4 picks returned for scores in his career. I really like AJ Klein, if you couldn't tell. He played his ass off at the Shrine game.
