Hello fellow 12's! good to write to ya'll once more :D . I've been consumed with research on this years draft like many of you in this Draft Forum, & Have Read many opinions as well to help guide my own personal views. And have even gone as far to view past drafts from 2010 a.k.a ''the conquest of JS/PC''- too the Present Day. One aspect that caught my attention, and to which I find Myself with utter intrigue is.... what JS did in His Second Yr. at the Helm of Front Office. Before the 2011 draft JS found himself with ''NO'' 3rd Round Pick! we had almost the identical draft round Status then as we do now- DIFFERENCE IS OF COURSE OUR DRAFTING ORDER DUE TO THE SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP. Here is the URL link to where JS was quoted as not being happy/''UPSET'' that they did not hold a 3rd Round pick - http://blog.seattlepi.com/football/2011 ... o-detroit/ . It's quoted in the 3rd Paragragh to what JS said on the matter.

here is where the Seahawks Stood before Draft day 2011.Remember this ''WAS'' before the Multiple Trades with the Detroit Lions. On the Left you have the 2011 Draft and on the Right you have the 2014 pre-draft round status.

2011 , 2014
2011 1st Round-25th overall pick , 2014 1st Round-32th overall pick
2011 2nd Round-57th Overall pick , 2014 2nd Round-64th overall pick
2011 No 3rd Round pick do to the Charlie Whitehurst Trade , 2014 NO 3rd Round pick do to the Percy Harvin Trade
2011 4th Round-99th from Broncos through Patriots, 2014 4th Round-132 overall
2011 4th Round-114th overall ,
2011 5th Round-146th overall , 2014 5th Round-146 overall (Oakland)
2011 6th Round-178 overall , 2014 5th Round-172 overall
2011 7th Round-210 overall , 2014 6th Round-208 2014 NO current 7th Due to Terrelle Pryor Trade
2011 7th Round-Compensatory Pick/Freebie

If JS/PC Can trade out of either the 32nd or the Repeat of the 2011 with the Second Round pick and Gain Draft picks while moving down-''meaning to lower numbers in said Rounds'' I call this a Win! if we Can't Get Aaron Donald which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY i know :D !, or A Good OT,OG thats really worth that pick at 32 then why not trade out and get more picks through Rounds 3-7 !??? I mean IMAGINE that in 2011 JS didnt wheel-&-Deal that 2nd Round to Detroit and somehow missed out on the 154th Pick that we gained through the Lions , Maybe missed out on CB Richard Sherman!!! Notable 3-7 Round Draft Picks from 2010-Now that are Noticable =

2010 Walter Thurmond III 4th Rounder, 2010 Kam Chancellor 5th Rounder

2011 K.J Wright 4th Rounder, 2011 Richard Sherman 5th Rounder, 2011 Bryon Maxwell 6th Rounder, 2011 Malcolm Smith 7th round.

2012 Russell Wilson 3rd Rounder, 2012 Robert Turbin 4th Rounder,2012 Jeremy Lane 6th Rounder, 2012 J.R Sweezy 7th Rounder, 2012 Greg Scruggs 7th Rounder.

2013 Luke Willson 5th Rounder, 2013 Michael Bowie 7th Rounder.

CAN YOU IMAGINE US WINNING THE SUPERBOWL WITHOUT FEW IF ANY OF THESE GUY'S!???

Well theres my take on the matter what say you fellow 12's?

How about packaging 64 with 32 and TJack to go up high enough to get Jake Mathews?

The TJax ship has sailed. He's been a starter twice already in this league and hasn't kept a job. He's a valuable backup QB (experience and low pay).

This is kind of like the trade Turbin stuff. These guys hold little value in terms of draft capital/compensation. They are clearly backup caliber players, so I'd caution any optimism thinking they will be packaged in a meaningful deal to move up in the draft.

All that said, I think it's highly unlikely we trade 32, but very likely we trade 64. I know everybody is holding out hope that we have a bunch of suitors trying to get 32 for a QB, but I totally agree with English on this, any team that desperately wants to trade up for a QB won't be waiting until 32. On the contrary, I will actually be very surprised if we don't trade 64. IMO, the only way 64 isnt' traded is if the OL we really want is sitting there. Acquiring picks is a great thing, but there is the danger of getting too cute and missing out on the guy you really want.

No team in the Top 8, which is Matthews range, is moving back 20+ spots for a 2nd rounder and Tarvaris Jackson.
