Considering what a colossal flop his brother was in Houston?

Hopefully they learn from their own failure, and not David Carr's. David Carr didn't fail Houston. Houston failed David Carr.

Houston ruined David Carr. How can you expect a rookie to take an NFL record number of sacks, and then lead the league in sacks taken for years and be any good?

David Carr had the tools to be a really good QB. He just never got any help.

They already got their QB in Mallett, why would they draft a QB in the 2nd?

That trade is only rumored, hasn't been finished yet

Patriots just drafted Garoppolo. Might make the rumored trade of Mallett to Houston more likely (even though Ed Werder reported he heard Mallett isn't available to trade).
