    From the up-aboves...
While Jonathan Martin is currently experiencing (expected) growing pains, the Dolphins organization holds him in a very high regard. We feel that Jonathan is an upcoming premier talent at the tackle position and have fully committed to a play-and-learn approach in his development. While the Dolphins appreciate your generosity, outside help at the position will not be required at this time.

  • I ended up playing my career as the chiefs. I like their run game but unfortunately they are way too injury prone as a team. Week 1 was fun. I played the Falcons and pretty much took care of business like I should. Charles rushed for over a 100 yds and had another 100 receiving.

Whoever has the Hawks must be mad... Sherman out for 27 weeks... ouch.

BTW I am willing to trade Bowe for the right price.

    corner... 2nd tier WR...

I would give you Bowe and my 1st rd pick for Desean Jack and Nnamdi. Blockbuster deal right out of the gate.

Or perhaps Bowe for DJack and Cromartie

  • I'd think about Maclin and Cromartie, we can go from there DJack and Nnamdi are off the table. Draft picks are possible if your not into maclin.

  • Retired.

I'm not one to subscribe to conspiracy theories, but I'm fairly certain that the outcomes to the games vs. AI's are predetermined.

Let me preface this by saying that I have roughly a 1.5 takeaway:giveaway ratio in ranked play...

Against the Texans, I played a game in which JAKE LONG gave up 5 sacks (by Madden stats, not my eye), most of which were to Brooks Reed. Not only that, but I threw 7 interceptions and had more drops (8) than completions. Perhaps most surprising, half those drops came from Brian Hartline (NFL leader in receiving) and Davone Bess (one of the best slot receivers in the league). Not to mention, Bess broke his collarbone.

With 0:03 on the clock, I figured it must be an anomaly, so I restarted the game.

I began 0/3 with two drops (Hartline, Hawkins) and a wildly overthrown ball on a corner route (borderline intentional grounding). Sure enough, as the game went on and my drops accumulated, Bess broke his collarbone again. I continued throwing interceptions ("only" 5 this time). My o-line kept getting torched (5 sacks allowed across the line)...

I gave it one more try.

My first play was a slant. Brian Hartline dropped it.

The next play was a curl. Bess dropped it and broke his collarbone for the third time (I am not kidding).

I finished the game with 5 interceptions and retired.

Maybe it's coincidental, but it really seems like it was "scripted". I play on All-Pro and All-Madden and my statistics are quite good online. Not sure what the deal was here.

  • Well I'm really sorry to hear that, I didn't have any such issues. You are the Dolphins going against the falcons, the new guy who played as the ravens had 5 interceptions, it does happen. You were one of the most active people in the league and it would be a shame if you left, perhaps you could switch teams and/or become a headcoach? would give you more control over the outcomes.

  • @Cadillac

Come on dude! It happens to the best of us. Everyone will eventually get into a funk. Just take a break for a while. No need to be all dramatic and retire like that as there is no conspiracies in this league. Also, some olinemen really just cannot make the blocks against a bull or speed rush.

  • It's not about being dramatic or anythig, but when I'm having 8 drops per game and Bess is guaranteed to break his collarbone, I just feel like it's a waste of time for me to play the game. Why not just sim it? And in the case, why even be in it?

I'll see about being a HC, but if it happens again, I'm not doing it.

Right after this, I had played a ranked match online (all-pro) and had only 1 drop and 1 injury (Chris Clemons--he returned).

Nothing to do with a funk.

  • all righty then. Perhaps some teams are just absolutely cursed. Anyways, it would be cool if you stuck around in the league and rejoined as a team in the AFC west. That way I could kick your butt twice this season lol. I am the Chiefs and I am just waiting for the carry that knocks Charles out for the season.

Well I came back as John Madden coaching the Dolphins. Should be fun. If Philbin wasn't so awesome, it's a stunt I could totally see Ross pulling, too. I think I built them team up a little and got a few guys resigned...even made a trade with the Cowboys. Waiting on the Seahawks and we can go on to week 2.

  • You can retire and rejoin as a legend if you'd like, and not lose any progress, if you do so before the league advances.

You can be Walsh, Gibbs, Landry, or Lombardi

  • I tried to contact trauma hawk but have not heard back from him. He has not played a snap yet, we may just allow the seahawks to be auto coached, seems most appropriate anyways. I'll advance tomorrow afternoon then we can figure out an advanced schedule to catch up. Thanks for sticking around cadillac!!

Also consider this the last chance to play all 16 games of the season with your team! We will allow people to join during the season but you will be a week behind in xp.

Some of you may began playing human opponents, for now i'm going to leave it up to you guys to schedule your matches but please try and get them done quickly so we can skip weeks, the coolest part of franchise is multi-seasons, free agents, draft etc.

@Galen96 you and me are up! I'll be available all night tonight (until 2am pst) and should be on available starting around 11am tomorrow. I sent you a friend request and a message on live. Get back to me so the birds can do battle. Go Eagles!

  • I didn't run it up. It is your job to stop my offense with a 70ovr QB in Ryan Mallet throwing to a 68ovr Ramses Barden. It looks like I ran it up because you don't know how to pass efficiently, hence the 6 ints.

  • This game is absolutely ridiculous. I wanted to make a post in the persona of Miami Madden, but this needs to be said.

First of all, let me be clear: I won this week.

I won on a last second field goal (ironically, the Phins lost to the Jets by virtue of missing one), but it should have been a blowout. Why? Well, the jets scored 29 points on under 150 yards of total offense. How? THREE fumbles. BY THREE DIFFERENT PLAYERS! Two of which, I might add, occurred with the use of the right bumper (doesn't) protect ball button.

What else? You'll notice that Shonn Green leads the league in broken tackles.

    A win's a win, but christ.

Holy beejesus batman. lol. That is why I don't run much at all in this game. Too many issues with the run game; The RB will run into their own lineman and fall down, RB fumbles too much, juke/truck seems to not work when you want it to or need it to the most.

  • PATRIOTS PRESS RELEASE:

Due to the rise of Mallett and Ramses Barden... Tom Brady and Wes Welker will be on the trade block. We are looking for various personnel/picks to fill their roster spots. Our top priority is finding a good young man to man CB. Second, we would like to find possibly another young QB with good deep ball accuracy. Third, we will entertain the notion of a WR with a good release rating (due to the rise of man coverage). As an organization we must also acknowledge how badly the Hawks defense destroyed us this past Sunday in real life. We suck as an organization and will only ever beat Pete Carrol and the hawks in a video game. That is all. Time to go cut some more sweatshirts at the sleeves.

  • I've won my last couple of games, but I'm having trouble getting my offense going. The AI seems better on this setting than in previous years. At least it makes it more challenging.

BTW, I'm the Bears and offered a new contract to Urhlacher, but I'm thinking of trading him while his value is high. Not sure if I'll pull the trigger and may keep him if he accepts the contract, but if the right offer comes along and someone needs a mlb, hit me up.

  • Real DTM, I was wondering after the season if it's still possible on the game to upload the ncaa 13 draft class into the game? I know you used to be able to and don't have the game myself, but was wondering if it is still possible? If so, maybe one of us can rent it on Gamefly or something and transfer it since I don't usually buy the NCAA game. I bought it a couple of years ago, but I played Madden so much more.

dude I was throwing 10-15 yard fades (hardly considered deep) because you were stacking the box defending the run. So, why on earth would I run the ball... to go three and out and give the ball back to you. Makes sense :sarcasm_on: . Also, 10-15 yard fades turned into more because of yac and because you failed to play defense or have any sort of defensive scheme/adjustment. Again... you got beat up through the air by RYAN MALLET. Come On Man. If I had Brady in I would have put up a hundred on you. Just learn to play better and PLEASE stop whining I don't want to hear anymore of it :177692:

  • And I could definitely tell you stopped caring by your play calling. I get pissed off at times as well and most of the time it is at Madden and the computer than it is the other player. Hell I tried to add you as a friend and I gave you positive rep on Live. I understand your frusterated but why insult the way I play Madden? I didn't showboat or anything; there was no onside kicks; I only went for it on 4th down in the your redzone (and failed). I thought we played a relatively clean game and that is an accomplishment in itself. Play some of these random douches online and you will see all sorts of cheats and trickery with a mix of taking advantage of the a.i. faults.

Well, that's the thing. The one fumble where I didn't use the right bumper was a run with Reggie Bush, but the other two were by Fasano and Ochocinco on passes, where they had run >5 yards after the catch...

  • I never use the right bumper. Instead I just flick the right stick up to hopefully truck for a few yards. I figure that I will eventually cough it up so why not try for a few more yards. The 49ers however are my kryptonite. It seems that whenever I play them, human or ai, my guys catch fumbleitis. just happens I guess.

  • Yeah as someone else said there's no import draft features this year. :(. Planning on advancing Saturday, figure nothing will be done today with the hawks game and all and I know a few people have games to play. If there's issues getting a match scheduled (ViKings v 49ers) let me know and I'll see if I can contact the other person.

  • Looks like the Bears and Seahawks still have games to play against the CPU. The Vikings and 49ers (both offsities) have a game against eachother. As neither of these people are on the forums, or atleast I don't know their forum names I will be advancing saturday afternoon as planned whether they play or not. I will of course allow extra time when it's 2 .net members playing.

Ya I for one do not mind the advance at all. I would like to catch up to the regular season schedule and besides, these guys should be members of this site at the very least. It makes it easier to communicate with one another.

  • Could u advance on Sunday? I've been working a lot with two jobs and won't get a chance to play until probably Saturday night. I'm on eastern time so I should have it played by 10 eastern at the latest. Let me know if this is ok.

  • That's fine, i'm totally ok with doing that sort of thing for members.

edit: advance date changed to sunday am.

Just a note to anyone interested in joining. We are still in week 3, there are no player teams in the NFC or AFC South, nor the AFC West. Some good teams with 2-0 records still available.

  • Thank you. I didn't get a chance to play last night. I will be playing it by 10 am eastern.

  • I'll be advancing after the first set of games this morning, possibly at half time.

Seahawks, 49ers and Vikings did not get their games done! I'll send them all messages on xbox live and hopefully we can avoid that in the future.

    EDIT: Advanced.

The three teams that autoplayed had some serious injuries :X, and the Seahawks can't catch a break... other than limbs

  • Well shoot looks like everyone except Vikings, 49ers and Seahawks have played again. I'll advance tomorrow night if I don't hear back from them.
