I think some of us are being pretty shortsighted on the whole not being able to adapt non offense. That is being done every game. Yes, we want to be run-dominant, but it doesn't mean we're not offering different looks to keep the opposing defense guessing.

Pete and Bevell try Sioux, but it seems more reactionary to what fails on the field during the game. As opposed to a more wholesale "hey this hasn't worked in two years, let's go to a more complex up tempo pass oriented offense this year to take advantage of Russell and our personnel."

I get it, Pete likes to shorten games with a ball control run game wearing down the defense.........which gives us what happened last week against SF, dictating in the 4th quarter.

But IMO those are the types of games where if Pete let Russell take over and throw it around we'd win 24-9, not 12-9.

Predictable is the WORST thing you can be in the NFL, and we're WAY too predictable on offense.

It doesn't matter what type of offense you run if you can't block four dlinemen with five olinemen then your offense will suck.

Smash mouth football requires quality offensive lineman that the Seahawks no longer possess.

Marshawn was a blessing the Seahawks coaches took for granted.

Honestly, the Seahawks coaches believe they can always "coach" the players they have and they will be "good enough."

But, you can only go so far without the talent.

Seahawks offense lacks talent primarily within their line.

The rest is pretty good though.

But we never had a quality offensive line. We had some good players, and some that struggled early (Sweezy, Carpenter) and there were injuries (Okung). What we had, and still have, it a killer defense, and a great running back.

What we were missing last year was a good running back, too many injuries. But now we have Eddie Lacy and Chris Carson, and things are going to turn around.

But EVERY team starts slow in the NFL. Even the New England Patriots.

Look at the Dallas Cowboys and their top dollar offensive line, they got spanked Sunday, by a good defense.

Okung, Carp, and Sweezy is quality compared to the current guys replacing them.

Okung wasn't the greatest LT but he isn't as bad as Rees. Carp and Sweezy were road graders. The current guys aren't. Heck, I'd gladly take Carp and Sweezy over the current guards.

Nailed it. Basically just get up by 10 points and watch the defense playing downhill it will get ugly. Run a quick hit offense from the start get a two score lead and then run the ball and trust your defense to do its thing. It's not rocket science it's Pete being arrogant, stubborn, stupid and getting himself fired if he doesn't adapt starting this Sunday.

Hindsight....smh. Okung and Carpenter were injury prone, or don't you remember all the "Glass" threads? Sweezy got paid, then missed the whole season. There's a reason they aren't here.

Denver kicked Okung to the curb after one season and they are gunning for a Superbowl. Carpenter, I don't know what he would have done if he would have stayed here. But Sweezy looks like the team knew his back was going to be a problem. I think they would have kept Breno but they drafted Britt to play tackle so they thought the future was set.
