Pete said during his coaches show this morning that we could have 6 or 7 guys back who didn't play yesterday.

He mentioned specifically:

Chancellor
Okung
Unger
Lane
Hill

Said Maxwell is still Iffy and Miller still won't be back yet.

Definitely good news if it's true. We REALLY need Unger back asap.

He sounded most sure about Unger being back.

That would make a MASSIVE difference.

You know, Jordan Hill was playing pretty darn good when he went down.

Miller worries me, I thought when he first went out it wasn't a big deal.........now we're getting less and less information on his return. Not good.

Finally Unger coming back, I'm sure Wilson would do backflips when Miller is available next week?

Can Lane play Sunday?

Yes, finally!

He's actually been practicing, but the IR rules have kept him out until now.

It can't be good that he isn't even giving a general timeframe for Wagner and Miller, ie "a few weeks". Pete's usually optimistic with injury news too so I've gotta assume those guys are out at least another month, maybe more.

I honestly think they just rested kam and okung.

They did, but that's because the kind of injuries Kam and Okung have aren't going away until the off season.

Sure we can manage and rest these guys for a home game against the worst team in football, but we're going to need all hands on deck for the rest of the season. Which is troubling for these two.

Entering the 2nd half of the season at 5-3 with all these guys coming back and their replacements having earned valuable experience... hold onto your butts. Stuff's about to get real. :th2thumbs:

I love your enthusiasm. Things have been a little unreal for a while now.

Unger was active this week and could have played if needed. I like that Pete waits until the last possible minute to play athletes coming back from injury. I'd be the same way.

If we just get Chancellor, Unger and Lane back, it will make a huge difference (if Lane plays at his previous level).

We'll be stronger in the Nickle, meaning we'll get teams off the field more in 3rd and longs, we'll shore up protection a bit (Unger is the best at making line calls and protections), and get our SS back. Even if he's not 100%, he won't make the mistakes Shead made, while Shead got some valuable playing time and can learn more in practice.

Isn't Jeron Johnson back as well ? That bodes VERY well for the SS spot.
