Props to this guy. Since he's been here you can tell that Lynch and the other rbs are comfortable running behind him. Lynch seems so much looser and he's just killing it. Man what a game by Lynch today and Tukuafu was factoring in it quite a bit. Good find JS/PC.

He was clearing the way in those i formation sets. So far, seems like a valuable pick up.

Not to be a pooper,
Though I thought he did well, the OL Run support was great and really the Giants sucked.

He was effective today. On at least a few + runs, he was at the point of attack and pretty much blew up the defender in the hole.

For all his size he gets surprisingly little push, but Lynch trusts him and for that reason he's far better than Coleman as a lead blocker.

He is fun to watch. There were some field level cameras that showed the intensity in his eyes. I'm not qualified to really know how good a fullback is at his job, especially without knowing the call in the huddle, but he looks effective to my untrained eyes.

I do like him, but of course he's the same age as Mike Rob. Gotta think he is a stopgap.

I'd like to see a swing pass to him, and see what he does to the poor CB that tries to stop him. I read somewhere that he ran a 4.71 forty. At 285. yeesh.

Between him and Sweezy, Lynch has some lanes. I just watched the Lynch highlights and practically every run went through a hole Sweezy opened, and the few times it didn't, Tukuafu was leading the way.

If anything else, seeing a disproportionately large dude in the backfield pre-snap is hilarious.

I thought he was extremely solid and had some great blocks today. Our I sets look to be much more effective the rest of the season.

Definitely more effective against the Giants than the Raiders. Could be

* more experience now with the Seahawks
* less rusty
* having Unger and Okung back

Some really nice blocks in there. Plus one good decoy in I-formation with the option to Lynch and then Wilson sweeping the opposite direction.

And I recall one really nice run up the left side by Lynch where he followed Tuk and the cut to Tuk's side for a nice gain (something like 20+ yards)

Really good plays today by Tuk.

And his warpaint is nasty!!! It's apparent that Tuku loves the battle, loves contact. I can see why Lynch trusted him immediately. Very similar mentalities, along with the good ol' Pac-10 roots. Wonderful signing by JS/PC.

He doesn't have the best technique and seems to struggle to finish off blocks, but I wouldn't want to be standing in front of him after he's gained a head of steam. PFF gave him a positive run blocking grade on 16 running plays.

This was the biggest factor to me. Unger especially.
