SF and the Power Running Game

I'm pretty sure of the stat that if Frank Gore gets over a 100 yards against us they always win. The Hawks over the past several years have not played well against power running teams (ie. KC & Dallas this season). SF is another power running team. If the Hawks want to have any chance of stealing a victory down in SF, they must stop Gore and Hyde and dominate their LOS. In fact, I'd rather they let Kaepernick get off a few long runs of his own just as long as we stuff their RB's. Once they get their power running game going, they run a lot of play action stuff of that to Boldin and Davis. This game will be won or lost in the trenches this Thursday, we need a big game from our front 7.

If Carroll sells out to neutralize the interior run game and remove Vernon Davis from the passing game Jim Harbaugh just might call a timeout, sprint across the field, and kiss him on the mouth on national television.
