I don't know what we can question.
At the start of the year, that San Francisco, Philly, San Francisco stretch looked BRUTAL.
There was NO WAY this team could make it through that stretch without at least 2 losses.
First, playing on Thursday on short rest IN SF, on grass, and against a team that we hadn't beaten in their house in YEARS. Likely guys would come out of that battle bruised and tired, just from the physical nature of those games.
Then fly across the country to play outdoors (likely in snow?) in Philly, our guys likely being exhausted from the trip and recovery. Meanwhile SF gets a relative skip away against one of the weakest teams in the league. Almost a bye week for them with almost no travel.
Then we fly all the way back to Seattle to battle SF again, with a very realistic chance at having 2 losses - even as a good team.
Well we have one more game to go and I am sure SF will be fired up to try and trip us...but the hard part of that stretch we came out unscathed. WITHOUT our starting center!
Even the most cynical Hawk fan has to be dancing in the streets for this outcome. This is literally the best case we can imagine, almost making up for the Dallas or the KC losses.
Yeah it would have been great it AZ lost today but wow.
