We can ill afford to have him attacked the way he was yesterday against the 49'ers, one solid unfortunate hit could end our season. Let's face it. Nobody want's to see him injured. He's not indestructable, he's not superman. He is even more fragile that most of the rest except the punters/kickers.

That's why that call, while the stupid commentors kept ragging about which i thought was a 50/50 call, and given that I'm glad they called it. the hit was a little late, he had released it and Moody could have pulled back a bit and his helmet would have never made contact. Lesson learned.

Russell pump-fakes enough that there's no way a rushing lineman should slow progress rushing the QB.

That said, Russ has taken other shots to the head and such that should have been called. This one was called, and was definitely iffy.

It all equal's out in the end: we won.

We didn't need that call to win. We already had the lead and our defense had taken over.

But it is true that there have been penalties that weren't called. 1 week ago there was a blow to the head then "driving in to the ground," followed by another defensive player driving Russell in to the ground, and they were ignored.
