Game-winning clutch TD catch vs. Caro

Two TD's tonight when the game was still close.

Haters still gonna hate?

Russell Wilson was definitely exploiting that matchup Luke had with Larry Foote, he's definitely stepped up his game and hasn't dropped many lately. That first catch he had, that play looked exactly like the one last year against the Saints on Monday night only it was Zach Miller making the catch.

I agree this is the Willson we'd been waiting to see, and Russell is actually attempting those kinds of throws.

Funny thing about Luke is that he doesn't look very fast, but for a 250 LB'er he scoots pretty good!!!!

Willson is 6'5" 250lbs with a 4.5 40 and a 38" vertical jump. He's our best chance for a productive big target anytime soon and it should be very exciting to see him playing well.

What's funny is that the 49ers used a 2nd round pick last year on Willson's teammate Vance McDonald and he's been a non-factor for them. The Hawks got the better Rice TE using a lower pick.

since Vernon Davis is slowing down, Luke is one of the best athletes at the TE position. He is figuing it out. After a Rice career and HS in Canada (not high competition) he is getting better and will continue to do so.

Athletically he is off the charts.

You mean Tight End.
In this case LB=pounds not linebacker

Breakout game for Luke Willson. Luke Willson was creating matchup problems for the Cards all night. He had 3 targets and caught all three thrown to him - 2 of them for TDs. Nice line for him - 3 receptions for 139 yds and 2 TDs.

Ever since Wilson's has thrown with more touch to Willson on those deep passes he's been money. If I recall correctly I think most of Willson's drops were from more direct passes with zip you typically see him throwing to the wr's.
