Russell Wilson looks to lead week in scoring for third time in 2014

The Seattle Seahawks have enjoyed quite the late-season turnaround. After posting a 3-3 record through the season's first seven weeks, at the time placing two games behind the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals and outside the NFC wild-card picture, they have gone 8-1 with the league's second-best point differential (+108) to not only move into a tie for the division lead but also giving them a fighting chance for the conference's top playoff seed.

Give Russell Wilson a hefty amount of the credit. And in fantasy football, don't overlook his contributions, even during the team's sluggish start.

With his week-topping -- entering Monday night's game, that is -- 35 fantasy points, Wilson moved his season total to 305, making him only the 47th NFL player since 1960 to have a season stat line worth at least that many points; Andrew Luck (322) and Aaron Rodgers (318) have already joined that club in 2014. That puts Wilson on pace for a whopping 325 fantasy points, and if you don't realize how impressive that is, consider this: Only 30 times since 1960 has any player reached that plateau in a single season.

Wilson now has three games with at least 34 fantasy points this season, which is an even more challenging accomplishment. Only 14 players since 1960 have scored at least that many in a game three or more times in a single season. "

I would imagine since he is better than half of the leagues starting RBs in yards and TDs he would be worth a ton of fantasy points...He is basically a QB and HB in one spot
