Almost forgot about it all being moved up a day due to the fact the game is on Saturday.

Opens talking about the importance of how well Carolina (and Seattle) played at the end of the year.

says we were fortunate to get out of Carolina with a win earlier this year

Unger should be in good shape this week and is practing

Hill won't play this week

previous games were all very similar and tough games. Cam is a dynamic football player. Said nobody else plays like them. Called it the Panther offense.

Said Hill injured himself working out over the weekend. Called it a serious calf pull

Dobbs is practicing this week, looked good and has a chance to be back this week.

Gave lots of props to Dan Quinn.

On yesterday's signing...said it was brought on by Hill's injury. Added that Landon plays similar to Hill.

Said Dobbs will fill in Hill's role. Said King will play

Said Kearse is looking good and should be back this week.

Johnson will not be ready this week

on Bennett, said he has a uniqueness about him allowing him to play end or tackle and can rush from anywhere on the field. Said he has a great motor and can cause problems in the run or the pass

on Bruce Irvin...said they thought he'd be a great pass rusher due to his speed. Said they tried to make it easy at first, but they've allowed him to grow into the Sam Linebacker/Nickel Rush guy.

gave props to Stewart as a really good all around player...running the ball, catching the ball, avoiding tackles etc.

Said they don't do anything differently, but statistically they play better when Unger is at Center. Said it's due to his experience. Said it allows us to "just be right more" Said he has a great connection with what Cable wants.

Said the reason we don't turn the ball over is due to the way they emphasize it constantly and consistently.

on the pi call/non call...said it was a starling call. Dallas took the opportunity and won the game.

on losing Miller. Said we can't really replace that. He does more stuff than we can do now. Tony has a good background. Says he and Luke and Coop have done a great job for us and it's picked up in the last 6 weeks or so.

Said he thinks Bevell does a great job in game planning and how to best use the players we have. Said he and Tom lead the charge on offense.

Asked how often he interjects on the offense, he said he's in on the discussions all game long. Not always right at the time but beforehand. Had tremendous respect for the play calling. Emphasized that he doesn't want to disrupt the sequence of play calling.

said Tharold Simon is good to go.

Sounds like it's just Johnson and Hill that are not expected to be ready Saturday

on explosive plays on offense. Says it's hugely important on both sides of the ball. Says they significantly change your opportunity to score. Says the QB has a lot to do with that. Also Lynch's ability to run, but said Wilson's numbers in the run game really make it all possible

heaped praise on Morgan taking over the role that Heath lost when he was put on IR.

That's it for today. I'm guessing the next one will be Thursday

Thanks for the recap, kid! Too bad about Hill, but next man up. It's an opportunity for Dobbs and King to make some big-time plays Saturday.

That really sucks about Hill. I doubt if he is back at all. Sounds bad.

What could he have done working out that put him on the IR?!

So.... They can't really find tight ends and full backs like they used to. Guess they are going to have to develop their own or change their offense.

What a shame that he's done or the year. Dude was really ballin'. Good news about Unger (finally!).
