Pete's Friday Press Conference NFCCG w/Recap

Week has been right on point. Solid week of preparation.
Britt was limited. We'll find out on Gameday. Bailey took the snaps there today
Said he has no definition for a franchise qb. called it a media phrase.
On Russell being the best combination of a running and passing quarterback....said he's well equipped to do what we ask him to do. Said he can do all of the things and he has a sense of maximizing his opportunities. He looks to throw the ball but will run when he has to. He protects himself and the ball. We encourage him to scramble. It's difficult to defend that.
On if teams are more willing to look at different style of quarterbacks. Said he thinks so. Said he goes back to Ryan and Flacco...said teams are willing to really go with the young guy. The past few years we've seen guys who can do more than just throw the ball starting to emerge. Credits a lot to what's going on with the position in college football.
More on Schneider. Says when they first met in the interview setting it was obvious that he was different than the other guys they'd spoke too. Said he had a lot of responsibilities at a young age and he dealt with it well. Repeated what he said the other day that they'd had a call in to him before his plane had landed and he'd gotten home.
Says he tries to put our players in positions that they are equipped to do. Looks for what each players unique talents are. Spoke on Baldwin and Kearse. Said Russell is the epitome of that. Said they figured out what he was and adapted and adjusted to make things work for him. Enforced that we need to be flexible, not the players.
When did Lynch become comfortable with the ZBS. said within a few weeks. Said he'd been used to other blocking schemes, but he was easily molded into a ZB runner. Says it didn't take him long at all.
on McCarthy's Packers. Called them a championship team that is well balanced. Loves coaching against him. He's a great football coach.
On the twelves standing out....Said we are the loudest. They care so much that they give so much. They are standing up and screaming and smart enough to know when to help the offense out. Said the people in this area care about their teams. He'd noticed it in college coming up here.
Wouldn't answer who was returning kicks.
On Johnson. Said it is a game time decison...there is flexibility in the position he's playing.
Said packers are arguably the best offense in the NFL. Well balanced with a good running game, qb and receivers. Said Aaron may or may not be at his very best but we'll count on him being his very best.
On what happened with Britt. Said he came to the end of the game with a sore knee.
Simon was sick today.
On our players not buying Rodgers injury. Said we have to go in believing he's at his best.
Preached alot on how much the continuity has helped our team
On Rodgers and Wilson so good at protecting the football. Said they have awareness and consciousness about it. Said they are well equipped and very unique.
