He said he wanted to waste a play and leave as little time as possible. Pete did not feel the defense could stop Brady for 20 seconds if that truly is the case.

Pete is trying very hard to fall on the sword for Bevell. He has stated before he doesnt interfere in game play calling. Now he is trying to say it was his call. The bad part is if as many want Bevell is fired who do you replace him with at this point?
