Even before the SB, there was a thread here about what people admire most about Sherman. I had some good things to say about him, even being a Patriots fan. But I even have greater respect for him now after watching the Inside The NFL videos, which I'll include below. On the second half video, about 12m 40s into it, Sherman walks up to Brady, hand extended, and congratulates him. Very classy on his part.

He tried to shake Crabtree's hand as well after the NFCCG last year, extending his hand and saying "good game" (or maybe it was "hell of a game", something like that.) Crabtree responded by shoving his helmet, with Sherman some how getting flagged. Pretty sure that is what set Sherman off.

Sherman is not the bad guy everyone assumes he is... He speaks his mind but he'll be the first to show respect to those that return the favor. There's a reason why one of the classiest guys in football, Larry Fitzgerald, is a good friend of his. Notice all the guys he beefs with are those that usually come at him first (Green, Smith, White, etc). Sherman is like the guy in the neighborhood courts that talks during the game and annoys the shit out of you but would be the first to shake your hand after you make a play on him

Sherm didn't get flagged for the handshake, he got flagged cuz he did the "choke" gesture towards Kap and their sideline, lol. It was hilarious. He's had beef with Crabtree from before, something about Fitzgerald's camp or something. Regardless, Sherm is the man!!

I believed he's learned his "lesson". In one of his interviews right before the SB, he said he's just gonna be cliché now.

Took me a lot longer than 12m 40s to get to the Sherman handshake. Couple oh huge distractions at 1m 25s :)

You are right about the false impression people on the outside have of him. He really is a classy guy and funny as hell, and probably has a higher than normal number of friends on other teams (who know him better than we do) . One 20s lost his temper moment, and the world thinks he's an A-hole.
