Honestly, have you ever seen a team so inept at

Punt and KO returns? Seriously, If Pete can't get a guy (or two) to take care of that we can pretty much forget our third SB apperance in a row, hell can probably forget our winning the Division.

absolutely the worst team in our Division at this, every since we lost Tate and Washington.

This makes perfect sense. We sucked at something during the 2014 season and made the Super Bowl....but if we suck at that same thing in 2015 there's NO WAY we can make the Super Bowl. Very logical IMO

Yea it was pretty shocking how bad they were in the return game after being so good for several years. You just knew all along that there was very little chance of a big play, and every chance for a disastrous one. Hopefully they can find someone who can play that role

well KR is not as big a deal since about 90% of kickoff are touchbacks anyway.

PR I completely agree we need to find someone who can make an impact. Fair Catch Walters has to go. Anyone seen Charlie Rogers lately?

I would hope we address this in the draft, Hoping we draft 2 WR's, a Big Sidney Rice type player and a 2nd one later in the draft who's also a punt Returner. Walters was useless this year. He was ineffective as a WR and only good for fair catches on punts. I hope we could get a developmental (depth) WR/ PR in the middle of the draft.

In fairness they started the season with the most explosive kick returner in the NFL. They put a band aid on the situation after the Harvin trade. We all know this will be addressed in the off season. Give them a chance.

IMHO it was not so much the return man as it was the return coverage. Most punt returns had little room to move after catch. Much of it had to do with injuries to key players on return team. Also continuity is very important here. It is not just plug and play. I think things will be better next year when healthy. We have had pretty good special teams the last couple of years so I think this year was the anomaly.

I'd highlight this. But I'd also point to the fact that Seattle's starting field position was amongst the tops in the league. On scoring drives, our starting position was actually tops in the league.

Seattle didn't suffer abnormally from a lack of return game. It certainly didn't help. But we had other, more impactful liabilities than that.

I agree but I would like to know how many prs Walters lost.... compare that to the rest of the leagues stats. I agree tho we miss tate. So often tho we see guys try to make plays only to drop the kick.

If they're going to draft a WR or two, I'd prefer that they not get a Sidney Rice type. Maybe one that doesn't fall down with every catch he makes.

Give Walters some credit.. Remember having ET back there early on, had to hold our breath every return. At least Bryan never made a stupid decision

You answered your own question.

Amazing how good our KO and PR units are when we have guys like Harvin, Washington and Tate returning vs Baldwin and Walters.

I guarantee you one of the top draft priorities this year is to find a KO/PR specialist.

They did not adress PR before last season....

Ha, of the things that are listed in terms of importance to this team, KR/PR is at the bottom.

Wrong. Dead wrong.

Pete has always put a HUGE emphasis on special teams with dynamic returners, and I guarantee you that one of our draft picks or free agent WR signings will be a dynamic KO/PR.

Why do you think he spent the entire off season and training camp experimenting with guys like Thomas?
