A four-minute-plus "promo" for "Family First the Marshawn Lynch Story" -- which stars Lynch as himself -- was released Tuesday and we're told Marshawn went Beast Mode when he saw it ... in a bad way.

"It was the quality, It doesn't look like some sh*t nobody would want their name attached to" ... one source close to Marshawn tells us.

Sounds like he had an old friend direct the movie instead of hiring a real pro. Seems like a very obvious outcome, but Lynch can be loyal to a fault sometimes.

Lynch's expectations are probably a bit too high as well.

A year ago I stated that Lynch was more likely to get his name on a Hollywood sidewalk than get in the HOF. Oops.

I checked out the 'Director's' Twitter account. Some fly-by-night 'company' out if Oakland called 'Debonair Productions' with just a hanful of followers. Y'all are right; loyal to a fault. The dude wouldn't take responsibilty for the crappy quality. He tried to deflect blame on Marshawn's reclusiveness, but Marshawn's complaints are with the audio and picture quality. What a standup guy to have directing a movie about what's most important to you. There is undescovered talent in the inner city then there is 'ghetto.' Marshawn got the latter.

Debonair Productions would be a fantastic name for a porn production company.

Ironically, the production quality and dialogue reminded me of a bad porno - like the ones in Boogie Nights.

Hopefully, they fix it or keep it unreleased. As is, Beast Mode is going to get mocked for this big time.

It looked like absolute garbage. Marshawn is an idiot it he thought he was going to get a Hollywood production from a no name Oakland director.

I feel the quality would have been better if they made it with an iPhone

Kinda sad really, cause it sounds like Marshawn paid this guy a lot of money and trusted him to make a decent movie.

The effort is there, but yeah this is what happens when amateurs make movies...........comes off like a bunch of high schoolers with a camcorder.

If I was Marshawn I'd bury this thing. The message is great, but it's going to be lost in all the people making fun of it.

They plan to do a sequel called BEASTMODE and to flood twitter with Marshawn's ESPN the Body Issue photos was a teaser. The real question is if we will see Charmaine Glock?

I'm still trying to sort out the unprecedented triple negative. Does he like it or not?

Yeah that trailer looked awful, the quality looked poor.

I feel bad for Marshawn, he was the only one who seemed like he was trying with this acting

I still want to see it. It may be cornier than a Hallmark channel movie, but I can't get enough of Beast Mode.
