Tye Smith, our Corner prospect drafted in the 5th round.

If/when he turns out successful like so many secondary members drafted late under PC. Keep in mind that the SF niners 5 picks prior drafted A PUNTER! to "compete" with their all pro punter already on the roster!!!!!

The pats one pick after the niners drafted a long snapper.

Not only did they take a punter but they took one who only averaged 40 yards a punt last year at Clemson. I know he's 6-5 and that length provides some potential, but you don't use 5th round picks on project punters. Baalke remains one of the most overrated drafting GM's in the league.

Maybe, he wasn't drafted to compete at the punter position.
Maybe SF is taking a page from our book.
Transition to WR?
Is he athletic enough for this to be a possibility?
Or am I giving SF to much credit?

Baalke misses more than he hits on draft picks, always goes with the safe selection, ran a great coach out of town to get a puppet in there.

Basically he's Tim Ruskell 2.0
