Pete USC HOF Presser--Some Hawks Stuff Too

Obviously this is mostly USC related, but there is some Seahawks stuff too, including a question about Irvin's recent comments on Atlanta. There also is good info on Pete's approach to coaching.

I wish every corporate type in the US would take Pete's stance on relationship building.

According to Carroll, who had a conversation with Irvin, Bruce was merely saying that he would love to return home to live Atlanta but not necessarily play for the Falcons. And then Carroll said something along the lines that what players say at the time to reporters can be taken out of context and whatnot. Then goes on to say, this was another lesson for Bruce to learn. Hmmmmmm.

Pete sure does a great job of administering damage control for all these players that are "still learning". His calm demeanor lets people move past the transgressions of these youngsters without it turning into somthing bigger.

Tate, Irvin, Baldwin, Lynch, Sherman,....who else?

I just chuckled at his comments on Irvin. While Pete obviously has his players back, even when they don't have his, did anyone honestly believe what he said about Irvin get misquoted?
