The 11th overall pick in the 2001 draft, Morgan spent seven seasons as the Panthers' starting middle linebacker before injuries ended his career. He was a Pro Bowler in 2004. Morgan was Seattle's assistant director of pro personnel for the last two seasons, and a pro scout for two years before that. He appears to be ascending quickly in the best-run organization in the sport.

I loved Dan as a player. Just one of those smart grinders. Pictured him more as a coach than a front office guy, but if Ozzie Newsome can make that ransition, Dan can too.
