The Seahawks’ three-day minicamp consists of just one day of on-field work this year, which means there will be a lot to keep an eye on when players take the field Thursday for what will be their last practice before training camp.

Coach Carroll is trying to keep things fresh, avoiding the sense of entitlement in the rookies that he felt at times at USC:

The team can't always think they are the same because they are always learning, growing, and adjusting. Veterans are working hard with the young guys to instill in them the commitment it takes to win a championship.

Russell interviews two young fans, planning to make it a daily event during training camp:

Some other good coverage by Jenks/Condotta:

A day for the defense: The structure of this practice was the same as for the OTAs — no contact, and the team going without helmets once the team periods began. That makes it hard to judge much about what happens up front, but a little easier to assess the skill positions. And on this day, the secondary appeared to get the better of the passing battles, with the passing game on offense spotty, at best. If there was a play of the day, it came when Kam Chancellor tipped a Russell Wilson pass into the hands of a diving K.J. Wright. We were able to watch only four of the 11 workouts Seattle has had since OTAs began, so it’s hard to make sweeping judgments. But from what we saw, some of the new faces in the Seattle secondary appeared to acquit themselves well — Cary Williams, taking over for Byron Maxwell; Will Blackmon, stepping in for the injured Jeremy Lane at nickelback; and DeShawn Shead, playing free safety for the injured Earl Thomas. Thomas watched today from the sidelines but is said to be progressing as well as hoped, a reminder that the Legion of Boom remains in full bloom.

New member here and for the record I am a fan of the Burgundy & Gold and a fan of Pete Carroll and the NFL as a whole.

I didn't know where else to ask this...but has there been word whether or not Seattle is gonna do ESPN’s “SportsCenter Special: Seahawks Training Camp” again this year?

That one show was the best look at training camp I've watched, it alone was better then whole hard Hard Knock series.

Welcome to .NET

That was a great special last year. They didn't mention anything about it being an annual event. I had a feeling at the time, that it was being done because we were the reigning champions.

I would guess they wouldn't do it again for the same team this year, but either way I'd guess they'd be announcing something like that, if it's going to happen, as we get closer to Training Camp.

One thing I'm sure of, is if it does get done, someone will post it in this forum.

I was as intrigued by many by Christine Michael's athleticism, but this off season has to be a bad one if you're a Michael fan.

The two guys in front of him are either injured or don't participate in OTA's, and he has a chance to get all the 1st team reps and get polished up before TC, and he's been out for every OTA with a hamstring issue. From what I've read, he's had problems with every thing from attitude, picking up the offense, willingness to pass block, and durability.

Coupled with his issues from college, it's beginning to look like he's not taking his shot at the NFL seriously. I wonder when the coaching staff will cut bait and look seriously to find Lynch's replacement ?

Don't forget ball security.

I think they are already looking for his upgrade if not replacement. Thomas Rawls. Brandon Cotton.

Yea I forgot about Cottom. I can see them keeping him on the roster as a hybrid FB/RB.

That dude is a sledge hammer, but he's pretty fast as well. Excited to see him in the preseason.
