First words is that C. Mathews has a strained AC joint and will be sidelined for 10 to 14 days. While T-Jack has a sprained ankle, unkown his time to return.

per roto world cheers

Whew! That's a whole lot better than I was fearing. Glad to see Matthews' injury is only a couple of week thing. I don't think he needs as many reps to make the team as some of the other guys. He was playing with the first stringers last night already.

And a sprained ankle with an unknown return time could be bad, but with a guy who's pretty much guaranteed as our number two, that's alright. He can sit and rest it and get back in shape for when/if he's called upon, while giving the other guys more time to compete. And Russ is still our starter, so there's no loss for when the season starts.

All in all, very encouraging injury news.

Matthews is a weapon we need to figure out how to utilize. Teams with these small sized DB should get a good doze of Matthews for mismatches .... just like in the SB.
